New Collaborative Project with Swedish interior design house Apparat, architects Habibihaus & Kulturhuset
Recently I agreed to collaborate with a project regarding sustainable design & development, that will take place between May - October, which will take place on the top terrace floor of Kulturhuset. This is a project led by Swedish interior design company Apparat & architects at Habibihaus. Both these companies strive to always find creative, imaginative and unusual solutions, in terms of sustainability, so this project is very promising.
This is a very interesting project to be part of, first because I love interior design & architecture, and because I have been currently very interested in the sustainable market, especially after the event I attended by Svensk Form Magazine part of Stockholm Design Week this February called  ‘Closing the Material Gap’. This event talked about how scientists and designers should work more closely together and create great things with materials researched by scientists.
During this collaboration, I will be working with a previous Hyper Island student, Alfred, doing the web design & design for the exhibition taking place in May at Kulturhuset, while working alongside the architects and the PR team for the event. The exhibition launches May 27 so our deadline will be two weeks before that.
So exciting about this project and happy to involved with such talented and innovative people!

You have to be willing to grow. Growth is different from something that happens to you: You produce it. You live it. The prerequisites for growth are the openness to experience events and the willingness to be changed by them.

The Most Influential Women in Technology: 2011
Did you know the CEO of HTC is a woman,  Cher Wang? That the CEO of Tech Crunch is also a woman, Heather Harde?
I came across Fast Company’s Twitter update today regarding their article about the most powerful women in Technology. It is very worth a read here: Women in Tech 2011
Women from various industries such as: Media, Gamers, Entrepreneurs and so on have all got a section dedicated to them, each women with interesting backgrounds. A very worthwhile read.
I hope to one day achieve these respected positions like these wonderful ladies have.
Respect to them!

about

I'm Ana Cecilia, Born & raised in beautiful Porto, Portugal. Currently I'm working at Made by Many as a Service Designer. In June this year I graduated from the Digital Media program at Hyper Island in Stockholm.

This blog started as a way to document my journey as a Hyper Island student and my learnings & experiences. I've continued to use it as a means to explore and document my surroundings and things that inspire me.
