This is Miffy. She is my dad’s cat. Everytime I visit I tend to find her in particularly awkward places, and these locations always have something in common: she is ON TOP of it, literally. These have been the latest ones: a printer; a freshly washed clothes basket; digital TV box; plastic bags, and so on… It’s quite amusing that she finds these positions comfortable :) Home sweet home.
Recently I came across this beautiful hairdresser shop-front here in Stockholm: UNIK. I really loved how the old typography & style of the words Frisör (meaning hairdresser in Swedish) stand above the front entrance.
I don’t know if it was already there before UNIK, but either way I was really drawn to the contrast between the old and the new styles. In fact what I saw first was the word Frisör, staring at me as I was crossing the road. I had to stop and take a picture.
You’ve got to find what you love. And that is as true for work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of our life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do great work. And the only way to do great work, is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking and don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you’ve found it. So keep looking, don’t settle. Don’t be trapped by Dogma, which is living with the results of other peoples’ thinking. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech 2005.
This is one of the most inspiring speeches that has personally motivated me in my life. It’s like everything Steve is saying is perfect and so true! You changed the world and you changed me. Thank you ♥
So I’m cooking something up, or trying to… It envolves food I’ve made & eaten during the last year in Stockholm, combined with my love for food. If you know me well, you know how I love eating and cooking.
Check my food sightings on Food Spotting! One of the most fun apps in the world I think.. Anyway, Update on this thing i’m ‘cooking’, soon :)
