It was a beautiful and warm (27C) weekend in London. We spent it in the sun, and even managed to get a slight tan, imagine that! Just wish it would always be this warm here, but you can’t have it all.
After a sunny Easter weekend at home, it’s back to London’s grey skies, heavy rain and cold temperatures today.
There is nothing quite like home.
London’s grey skies and rain finally returned today, after more than a week of beautiful sunshine.
It was great while it lasted, guess it’s back to reality now..

Rain Rain, Go away
Very rainy scenes from Shanghai’s buzzing streets over the last couple days. The rain doesn’t stop, neither does the traffic or people walking the chaotic streets.
Made by two Portuguese: Ricardo Fonseca with co-founder Gonçalo Catarino, Weddar launched last month, and has already seen it’s app downloaded in 86 countries by over 26,000 users. Found this today on Springwise website, which held an interview with Ricardo.
In the words of Weddar: “And because it doesn’t make sense that we still depend on old, machine-based, general area location and innacurate Public Weather Report Services. Weddar is People Powered Weather Service.”
// Download the App only available for Iphone on the Apple Store. (They say they are working on the Android customers out there)
// Become a fan on Facebook.
// Follow Weddar’s blog on Tumblr.
Being Portuguese, it’s great seeing innovative ideas and start-ups coming from Portugal. Makes me proud, and big congrats to Ricardo and Gonçalo!
The Weather Wheel is based on widely available weather data, including wind, precipitation, and temperature, and is displayed in an alternating wheel , by each month of the year.
Bård is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in New York City. His design work has been featured on the sites of Entertainment Weekly, The Wall Street Journal, Jezebel, Gawker, Fast Company, FlowingData and many more.
While at Aer Studio these last days I’ve been introduced to many data visualization sites and communities, that they collaborate very often with. Data visualization can be stunning, as well as useful and powerful. Also very interesting to build, and I hope to be able to know enough programming to create something like this.
Check Bårds’ website out : http://www.edlundart.com/ and also Co.Design, where they display one amazing infographic a day.
Enjoy !
